Who I am

I'm a Dutch third-culture-kid who grew up moving between continents. By the time I was 10, I'd lived in five countries across Europe and Asia. That kind of childhood does something to you, it makes you fluent in difference. You learn to read rooms quickly, to find common ground across cultures, and to notice what's really being said beneath the surface of a conversation.

Those instincts have never left me. They're at the heart of how I coach.

Outside of work, I'm a lover of sport, people, photography, and family. And deeply curious about what makes humans tick.

I bring two worlds into my practice: over a decade in corporate finance, and years of training and experience in coaching and human development. As a Certified Professional Coach and 6 Types of Working Genius Coach, I work at the intersection of leadership, communication, and team dynamics, with both the commercial grounding and the human depth to make that work real.

What I see

The leaders and teams I work with are capable, thoughtful, and committed. They care about doing meaningful work and leading well. But despite experience and effort, something starts to feel heavier than it should.

Decisions don't land. Conversations go in circles. Alignment depends too much on one person holding it all together.

What I've come to understand is this: most leadership and team challenges show up as communication problems. Not because people lack skill or goodwill, but because how leaders think and operate, how people naturally contribute, and how the team functions together are out of sync.

When you address communication at that level, everything else begins to move.

Why I do this work

I've always been fascinated by what helps people and teams move forward together, and what quietly holds them back.

What I've learned is that lasting progress doesn't come from working on just one layer. Mindset alone isn't enough. Team behavior alone isn't enough. Communication skills alone aren't enough.

Meaningful change happens when all three work together:

  • Leaders understand how their energy and mindset shape what they say and how they're heard

  • People know how they naturally contribute, and where they create unintentional friction

  • Teams build the trust to have the conversations that actually matter

That's why my work goes beyond communication techniques. I help leaders and leadership teams unlock sustainable performance by aligning inner drivers, relational dynamics, and collective behavior so that communication becomes clear, honest, and effective in the moments that count.

My coaching works at the roots of communication, not just the surface. I focus on three interconnected areas:

  • Leadership energy & focus: how leaders think, decide, and sustain themselves under pressure

  • Collective dynamics: trust, conflict, accountability, and collaboration within the team

  • Leadership presence & communication: how intent, clarity, and authority are expressed and received
